Althea Korea Haul

Hey lovelies!!! Long time no see :) I have busy with my final exam and internship for months! Finally, I can back to blogging life from now on^^ Let's starts!

A month ago, I found a K-cosmetics selling site called Althea.  As they are having grand opening promotions which include free shipping over RM100 and RM20 rebate when you spent RM150, my hands go 'gatal' again... *girls are always girls :p *

Since I always browse through Korean sites, I do know some actual price of certain K-cosmetics and I have make some price comparison.  Soooooo, in my conclusion, Althea offers reasonable/dirt cheap price compare to many sites out there.  Plus, the products come along with a pink beauty box! *is pink! girls! although I not really fancy about pink* They shipped directly from Korea and there is no worry about the authenticity of the products!

This is how the beauty box look like when it reached your house:

Once I received, I can't wait more to open it!  Here's the photos below to show you how each products are probably packed with bubble wrap:

Sorry for the mess :)  But I really want to show you how each product are probably packed and they put some papers to fit in the gaps.  There's almost impossible to have broken products as each of them are well protected!  The pink box is so sturdy and it's nice to reuse too!

Here's the products I bought:

From left to right:
Holika Holika Jewel Light Waterproof Eyeliner in black gem, chocolate citrine and 18k gold; Etude House Play 101 Pencil #15; Innisfree Creamy Tint Lip Mousse #3 aromatic fresh coral; The Saem Tip Concealer; Skinfood Black Sugar Mask.

It takes 6 days after I made the order for the parcel to reach my house.  It's pretty fast considered it's shipped from Korea.  Overall, I am really satisfied with their services and my haul from Althea!  Definitely will purchase again from this site!  They offer free shipping on order over RM150 so girls it's time :P  They do offer various promotion/rebate from time to time, do put your eyes on if you are interested.

Any question can leave as comment below, I will try my best to answer you :)
Till then, anyeong!

PONY X MEMEBOX Shine Easy Glam Palette Review

Hello peachies!  Really sorry for not updating posts! *become my fav opening words >< oppsss!*  I have been busy with my academic and just being hospital admitted due to heath problem.  Reaaally sorry!!!

Ok, let's starts the review today!  Have you guys heard about a korean cosmetic brand called Memebox??? If you are so into korean makeup like me, you may have know this brand as it collaborates with many famous makeup artists/youtubers and comes out lines of makeup with their names on.

I have always been a fans of makeup artist Pony, also known as a ulzzang (pretty face in korean) in Korea.  Her makeup skills are awesome where you can see her transforms from one person to another using her amazing makeup skills.  For those haven't know who is she, you can youtube search her makeup tutorial.

The product I will be reviewing today is PONY X MEMEBOX Shine Easy Glam Palette!  I know they already come out palette 2 and 3, might be a bit late but I think some of you may not know, at least it is not popular in my country since it is hard to buy it here unless you buy it online.

Price: 20,000 won / 14.4g (1.8g each shade)

This palette contains 4 matte and 4 shimmers.  AND a hugeeeee mirror!

The brushes provided are a bit hard and useless to me, so I prefer using my own brushes.  The colour payoff does not come out as pigmented as I thought it would be at the beginning, BUT it becomes better after few uses on those shadows.  Guess they need some "rubs" to "awake" them :P

Under fluorescent lamp for you to see their glitters:

Personally I like the mattes more, especially the shade "easy shadow" and "easy brown" since I can use it as eye shadow and also contours.  It works for me as contours since I have fair skin tone.  The shade "easy charcoal" can be used as eyeliner or eyebrow liner too!  As its name, "easy base" is used as a base/primer before you put on the main eye shadow shades.  It also can used to highlight you brow bone to make your eyes more awake.

NOT saying the shimmers are not nice, they are beautiful too!  As you can see from the pic above, these shimmers contain tiny gold glitters except "glam espresso" which contains silver glitters.  Among these shimmers, my fav shades are "shine rose gold" and "glam espresso".  The shade "shine rose gold" is so light and wearable for daily basis, giving a fresh yet feminine look.  "Glam espresso" is simply awesome^^

There are some looks created by Pony as shown in the pic below for you to re-create :)
(Pic @ Memebox Korea website)

Overall, this palette is  a good steal as it gives good colour payoff and you can create many looks from daily to night.  Love it! <333

Etude House Sugar Tint Balm in #5 Pink Macaroon and #8 Blackberry Jelly Review

Hello Lovelies^^  Today's review will be Etude House Sugar Tint Balm in the shades of #5 Pink Macaroon and #8 Blackberry Jelly.  Basically, it's a tint + balm product!  Good for chapped lipper like me~

Price: 8,000 won / RM52.90 (bought on a buy 1 free 1 promotion) / 4g

#5 Pink Macaroon is a nude baby pink which is perfect for days that you just want a hint of pink on your lips, for a lovely healthy look.

#8 Blackberry Jelly is a grape-ish pink which gives you a chic yet romantic look.  The colour appears paler in picture below but it should be more purplish/intense in real life.  I don't know why it looks so pale in the picture below as I don't add any filter in the pictures.

Swatches on my hand in different lighting:

It glides smoothly on the lips and does not emphasize my chapped lips. Good colour payoff too!

Test for staying power -- after wipe with tissue paper:

As you can see from the picture above, the staying power is weak.  It goes off easily on light eating.  #8 has better staining ability than #5 due to its more intense colour.  Its moisturizing ability is better than its tinting ability.  The colour payoff is great but a bit disappointed on its lasting ability.

For those don't mind reapplying after meals, it's great for you!
This product is good for those having chapped lips and don't mind reapplying it after each meals.

Innisfree Apple Juice Cleansing Oil Review

Yello~ Lovelies!  I'm gonna review the famous Innisfree Apple Juice Cleansing Oil today!  I know it's been out long longggg time ago BUT I just tried it lately.  When comes to oil based products, I tend to hesitate because I think it might clog my skin pores although I have a dry skin.  So, I have made up my mind to give it a try due to high raving by my friend.

From the introduction by Innisfree:
"Enriched with apple extract, this line offers softness and healthy radiance to your skin like a freshly washed apple."

Price: 13,000 won / RM52 (150ml)

Like always, I have used it as my makeup remover or whenever I think my skin need extra cleansing for almost a month. It's inexpensive and does what it claims.  If you have followed my blog for a while, you will know that I have dry, sensitive and acne-prone skin.  I'm glad this product doesn't irritate my skin or worsen my acne.  Definitely a plus!  Also, it does not dry my skin at all!

From L to R: Aritaum Full Cover BB cream, Kiss Me mascara, Etude House Proof 10 pencil eyeliner, Kiss Me liquid eyeliner, Innisfree shadow pencil, Etude House Dear Darling Tint, Aritaum Honey Melting Tint

After cleanse with the cleansing oil

As you can see from the pictures above, it cleanses well if you massage enough with the appropriate amount of the cleansing oil.  You may find it hard to remove lip and eye products but it is reasonable since it's not a lip and eye remover.  They do come out the lip and eye remover in this line.  You can try that one :)

It has an artificial apple fragrance, some people may find it irritating but some find it amazing.  It really depends on one's.  For me, I think it's ok as it does not hit my nose but not my liking.

Overall, it does its job with its pocket-friendly price, does the same job with those high end products.  I'm quite satisfied with it^^

Innisfree Olive Real Lotion Review

Hello Lovelies!  That's a month +++ since my last post!  I'm being buried by my finals for almost a month.  You might wonder why my finals lasts for a month so let me tell you --- I took 8 subjects for last semester.  My university plans the syllabus and make it compulsory for every student.  *sobs sobs*  It's so lucky I'm still ALIVE~  Well, the exam ended now, say bye bye to my zombie life. *flowers and sparks*

So, I'm gonna review Innisfree Olive Real Lotion today!  I'm have been obsessed with Innisfree since they open their 1st store here in Malaysia.  I already had my second haul. *opsss!*

It comes with a recycled paper made box, a typical Innisfree packaging.  The plastic bottle makes it light and handy to be carried around.

From the introduction by Innisfree:
"Enriched with the best quality of extra virgin olive oil from Crete Island.  Olive Real deeply nourishes skin and retains moisture for healthy radiant skin."

Price: 14,000 won / RM57 (160ml)

I have been using this lotion for a month+, I would say it does its job quite good!  At first, I used it together with the famous Innisfree Green Tea Serum but some small red bumps on my cheeks.  I called it an allergy as I do have a dry sensitive skin.  Things are good when I use them separately, guess it might be only me?!  So, I just quit using the serum and use the lotion with the Hada Labo Hydating Lotion and they work well on my skin!  They have been my current skin care routine since weeks ago.

Before > After
The lotion texture is considered watery but not those liquid type of watery if you get what I mean.  It absorbs quite fast into my skin and leave a healthy radiant skin like those dewy skin you can see from the Korean actress.  The dewiness will go off afterwards.  My skin feels more moisturize and less redness.  You might thought my skin get a lots darker at the 'After' photo but it's just because of the lighting.  Also, you might not spot the dewiness on my skin, possible it failed to be captured by my camera.

FYI: Extra virgin olive oil helps moisturizes, protects and repairs your skin and it helps soothing eczema too.

I think I like this olive range more than their green tea line!  Plus, I like the olive smell it gives off.  The smell is not those oily smell from those you use for cooking but a more fresh type of smell :)

Noted that my skin is dry and sensitive, oily skin may not like this.  For those out there having the same skin type as mine, you might want to give it a try!
