The Face Shop Ink Lipquid Review

Hi Peaches! I'm backed with the review of The Face Shop Ink Lipquid review!

Price: MYR 62.90 / 4g (Bought during a 30% sale, thus the price was MYR 44.03)

I was swatching all the shades at the counter but found out RD02 to my liking. My shade is RD02 Red Sing which is also known as Suzy's red (She wore this in her endorsement's poster!). This was bought long time ago, they have new shades now.

RD02 is a true bright red. The sponge applicator is good enough to pick up right amount and help me to spread the product evenly on my lips. The packaging reminds me of test tubes! LOL! <<<Yup! I'm a science student. The packaging feels sturdy enough, not too plastic-ish.

The texture of the product is quite watery which means I can spread it easily. It smells so fruity~ yummy~

The colour payoff is so vibrant! Little product is needed to cover the whole lips as it's highly pigmented! It is claimed to have 12 hr lasting power which I think depends on your eating habits.

The colour stains well as soon it's applied. It gives balm-like finish. The colour stays throughout meals with slight wear off but I'm not sure with multiple heavy meals. What I really like for this tint is it does not sink into the fine lines of my lips. The moisturizing ability is very good! Definitely one of the most long lasting and moisturizing tint on my vanity table.

The picture on left: after I wiped it off with wet tissue It tinted so well! Long lasting on lips too!

The picture on right: after I removed with makeup remover. If you watch closely, it still left some hint of the tint. In real life, it tinted more intensely on lips. I have hard time removing this tint! ><

Pros:
+ Vivid colour
+ Long lasting
+ Smells so nice!
+ Moisturizing
+ Nice applicator

Cons:
- None for me!

Hence, grab one for yourself! ^^

Etude House Real Powder Cushion SPF50+/PA+++ Review

Hello Peaches~ Happy holiday for those living in Malaysia!!! A lil break for those just started their new semester!

So, today I gonna review Etude House Real Powder Cushion which is the summer cushion designed to resist sweat, hot and humid environments. It has 5-in-1 multi-function which includes primer, BB cream, concealer, powder pact and oil control. It is highly praised for its liquid-to-powder ability which will benefit oily skin.

Price: MYR 145 / 14g

I got this from a giveaway held by one of my fav youtuber >>> Liah Yoo! She marks this cushion as her holy grail~ And is generous enough to hold a giveaway for her subscribers to try it out! And Tadaaaaaa! I am lucky to win this! *flowers*

Although I have dry skin, I am excited to try this out since I live in hot+humid country. The shade she sent is #Natural Beige which similar to #21 to #22 of usual Korean shades.

This compact case is so thin, unlike the usual cushion foundation pact. So handy to carry around~ The rose gold and light beige packaging has stolen my heart at first sight and I believe I am not alone! ^^  The case is so classy and not those plastic-ish feeling which tends to look cheap and fragile. So, BIG THUMB to the design team!!!

It's so sad that #Natural Beige is not a match for my skin tone! I always found that Etude House's base products has darker shades when compared to other Korean brands like Innisfree and IOPE. I have the same problem when I use the Etude House Mineral Cushion too! I am a perfect fit for #21 of Innisfree, IOPE, Aritaum and The Face Shop. Guess I have to take #13 for Etude House... Ishhh...

This cushion's formula is so new to the market since it turns almost instantly from liquid to powder once it is transferred on the skin. It has an air lock on the puff holder to avoid evaporation of content. Since the content compartment is so thin, I have a feeling hitting the pan every time I pressing my puff against it. LOL!

It powderizes in a blink so you have to be fast to spread it evenly on your face. I can feel the dryness the moment it adheres to my skin which is so unfamiliar to me as moisturized products are my go-to-products. However, I decided to give it a go for 2 days!

It emphasizes my pores and dry patches. For those having acne like me: YES! It will accentuate to your acne especially if you have flakes around the acne!

The coverage is medium-high. You will still a good concealer for intense hyperpigmentations. For those having freckles and light imperfections, this product can give you a good go!

Sice my mom is having oily skin and in shade #23, I try this on her. Guess what! It performs nicely on her aside being sank into her larger pores around the nose after few hours. I can see how it becomes holy grail of oily skin! The oil control ability is superb FYI! <<<Using my mom as reference!

Pros:
+ matte/powder finish
+ suitable for summer/hot and humid weather
+ suitable for oily skin
+ medium coverage
+ conceal redness

Cons:
- dry skin not likey!
- accentuate dry patches
- sink into pores

I wanted to love this cushion but it's just not suit me! Aiksss!
For those having dry skin like me but still want to have a matte finish summer cushion, I will definitely recommend the CLIO Kill Cover Founwear Water Kill Cushion.

Till then, 안녕!

Mamonde Highlight Lip Tint Review

Hello, Peaches! I'm gonna review Mamonde Highlight Lip Tint this time!

Few months ago, Mamonde opened its first outlet in Malaysia at One Utama Damansara. Being a k-cosmetic lover, I can't miss this opportunity, right?! The prices here are slightly pricey than those in Korea (really 'slightly' bcoz the prices are comparable to Korea, unlike e** h**.. ehemmm!).

This lip tint is one of their best sellers. **I can see why by knowing their current spokesperson is Park Shin Hye. At least they got me!

There are 10 shades available which are:
#1 Pink Balloon
#2 Tonic Coral
#3 Purple Motion
#4 Light Salmon
#5 Orange Basket
#6 Pin Spot
#7 Main Title
#8 Red Intermission
#9 Number Memory
#10 Midnight Singer

Price: MYR 50 / 4g

Mine is #6 Pin Spot! I admit it's because Park Shin Hye herself has posted this shade being her favourite everyday lippie! The shades she wore in her latest drama <Doctors> are #1, #5 and #6.

BUT, I like this colour too because it's so daily wearable!

Swatches:

It's a neon coral with more pink undertone for me. As you can see from the swatches above, it appears pinkish under bright day light and more coral in fluorescent lighting.  Keep in mind that it's has neon-ish payoff so darker skin tone might want to swatch the colour yourself at the counter to see the suitability.

It smells like sweet artificial peach to me.

For light touch, I put 2 or 3 dots at the center of my inner lips and spread it evenly. This creates a baby pink colour on my lips. Then I put more to create the result as shown in the lower picture of the photo above. The colour payoff is buildable as you apply more. I will say this shade is more like neon hot pink with coral undertone. Definitely brighten up my skin tone!

The texture reminds me of the Innisfree creamy tint lip mousse but much more moisturizing. The finish is sheer on fresh application but turns velvet afterwards. A bit drying too as time goes. The colour adheres nicely on my lips with light eating but not really after heavy eating. After I had my meal, it adheres to my lips in not-so-beautiful way as it cringed into my lips' fine lines. <<<chapped lips problem~

The picture on left: after I wiped it off with wet tissue
It tinted so well! Long lasting on lips too!

The picture on right: after I removed with makeup remover
If you watch closely in real life, it will still left hint of the tint which can be removed/seen with cotton pad dipped with facial toner.

Pros:
+ pretty colour
+ daily wearable
+ buildable
+ long lasting

Cons:
- a bit drying for chapped lippers
- cringes on my lips' fine lines after heavy eating

Overall, this lip tint is considered quite good. I think Mamonde and Aritaum really make pretty lip tint among the Korean brands available in the market.

This colour is so pretty in real life so I tend to ignore the cons. I will just reapply after eating. Teehee!

Till then, 안녕!

IOPE 4th Generation Air Cushion Intense Cover Review

Hello, Peaches! Today I am gonna review the mother of cushion foundation which is IOPE Air Cushion! The company have released the latest 2016 improved version, so the refill of older version will not longer fit in the cover of this latest version. The 2016 version is smaller/more compact than the older version.

There are 4 types of finish/texture you can choose from the 2016 version:
Natural Glow > for natural radiant, healthy and bright skin.
Lasting Moisture > for hydro-radiant skin.
Intense Cover > for smooth, clean and perfect coverage.
Matte Long Wear > for matte and bright skin without shine.

They are available in shades:
Warm tones - W21,W23
Natural/Neutral tones - N21, W23
Cool tones - C13

Price: 42,000 won / 15g+15g

I ended up choosing the intense cover #N21.

IOPE has decided to go for younger design as the cushion case is said to look like macaron. The upper part which holds the mirror is really slim and have a copper ring on it while the bottom part holds the foundation as usual. The colour of the ring depends on the types of the cushion --- silver (natural glow), blue (lasting moisture), copper (intense cover) and white (matte long wear). It comes with a case with cushion embedded and a refill which I consider as a good deal since it's comes with two. The packaging box is so classsyyyyy~

My shade is #N21 natural beige. It has an air lock on the right side when you open the cushion which prevent evaporation/drying of the foundation. So, you need a little effort to open the plastic separator to reach for the foundation, and make sure you lock it properly when you close the separator to avoid early drying of your foundation.

As you can see from the picture above, the sponge has been improved to 3D type where you can see the small bumps (looks like a beehive for me ^^). The 3D sponge makes it easier to pick up the foundation as it is evenly spread over the puff. I like this sponge so much as it's really ease the application~ lol! But my friend who have trypophobia is not a fans! ><

The size of the puff is slightly smaller than the usual cushion puff as you can see from the picture above. However, it doesn't affect the application.

sorry for my dirty puff >.<

The upper white part of the puff where we lay our fingers has a leather-like appearance and texture.

The application at different lightings:

It has a flowery scent which eventually goes off after a while (5 min?). I am a bit disappointed on the coverage as I had high expectation on its "intense cover" ability. The coverage can be layered to medium but not high enough to cover blemishes perfectly, I still need a good concealer for the blemishes/dark acne scars. It is able to cover the redness of my skin. It gives a radiant finish. It is moisturizing and did not emphasize my dry patches (I have dry skin!). For those having less pigmented blemishes, you will find this enough to cover your imperfections.

However, I tend to reach for this cushion when my skin is in good condition. I have once staying outdoor for hours under the sun (Malaysia is hot and humid!!!) wearing this cushion foundation and it does melt a bit but in a beautiful way while about 70-80% of the foundation still adhere on my skin! What a surprise! BUT I don't think it will the same on oily skin!

Pros:
+ moisturizing
+ radiant glow
+ long lasting on dry skin
+ medium coverage which enough for little imperfections
+ easy content pick up (3D sponge)
+ air lock that prevents evaporation

Cons:
- not high coverage as expected
- not for oily skin in hot and humid weather (oily skin can try the matte long wear type!)

Overall, I really like this cushion as it 'hugs' my skin so well and lasts a good time! My skin is so photogenic when I put on this cushion foundation. Definitely the best cushion foundation that I have tried. I can understand the hype of this cushion foundation in Korea now :)

Ladies! Grab the ones suit you among the four now! Strongly recommended!

 Till then, 안녕!

COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner Review

Hey peaches! *Just decided to call you gals peaches instead of lovelies because I just felt that 'lovelies' is so weird? LOL*

Anyway, I'm here for another review but this time it's about skincare. First of all, I am gonna tell you all on the history of my skin. My skin was terrible during high school days >>> swollen and painful acne here and there, easily irritated too! No one told me what to use to cure my skin and I ended up buying+trying many drugstore products, which I really regret now as they further irritated my skin. My mom is blessed with good skin and has less knowledge on skin care, thus I have no one to refer besides internet/blogger/youtuber. Little by little, I begin to gain info on skin care! *luckily*

Still, till now, my skin is problematic too but not as much as those high school days.  Friends who have saw my "dark days" will certainly agree that my skin looks way better now.

It takes time for one's to understand their skin types and needs. However, it is always about "moisture level" of your skin regardless of dry skin, oily skin, combination skin and sensitive skin. If you are currently just started to use facial cleanser, I would suggest you to go for the mild one rather than start it with a stronger cleanser especially you haven't rule out your skin types unless you want to ruin your skin like me. *sob sob*

Before I started the today's review, I would like to clarify that my skin is dry sensitive, acne prone and I do have many acne scars. *thanks to my itchy hands*

The brand of the day is COSRX, which is the word combination of COSmetic and RX (means prescription). This brand is established in 2006 which means it's already in the market for 10 years! I'm a bit late to know such a good brand! *aiksss*  Their philosophy is "minimalistic and functional cosmetic by imperatively necessary ingredients" which means they aimed to use minimal ingredients to give an effective product.

The star of the day is COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner.

The picture from the official website as I am too lazy to take photo of mine. Anyway, mine is exactly the same from the picture above.

I have used this toner for almost 3 months now and my skin likes it. It takes time for my skin to show improvement. Here is the progress of my skin:

It works so well on my skin! ^^

For those who concern on the ingredients, here's the list:
mineral water, salix alba (willow) bark water, pyrus malus (apple) fruit water, butylene glycol, 1,2-hexanediol, sodium lactate, glycolic acid, betaine salicylate, allantoin, panthenol, ethyl hexanediol.

AHA and BHA are chemical exfoliants that work silently within your skin to remove dead skin cells and brighten your skin, giving you a better skin texture.  The facial scrubs that have tiny beads are physical exfoliants that remove dead skin on the epidermis of your skin.

The product's description is:
> Gentle exfoliation with mineral water
> Contain natural AHA and BHA
> For smooth and clear skin
> Natural ingredients helps to moisturize your skin and stimulate cell regeneration for smoother skin
> Help with prevention of whiteheads and blackheads

I use it twice daily after cleansing. Since it's a chemical exfoliant, be sure to use sun screen on daytime so that you won't burn your skin! As you can see from the picture above, my skin improves after I started to use this product although new trouble arises over time to time.

***Mind that what works for me doesn't necessary work on you!

I'm officially in love with their products and I ended up buying more products from them. I saw posts from nowhere that Watsons Malaysia will bring in the brand in the coming September or October, hopefully it's true!

Stay tune for more COSRX reviews!

Till then, 안녕!

Innisfree Water Glow Cushion Review

Hey Lovelies! I'm back with a review of Innisfree Water Glow Cushion! *flowers*

Since Innisfree has opened few outlets in Malaysia, I can easily get on hand its products. Innisfree is my third cushion foundation brand after Etude House and Banila Co. As Malaysia is well known for hot and humid weather, I had been seriously considering the long wear one before decided to buy the water glow one! When I tested both the cushions at the counter, I knew the water glow cushion is the one! Haha! This is because I have a dry skin which often leads me to moisturizing products despite the humid weather in Malaysia!

Price: MYR80/15g

My shade is #21 Natural Beige which fit me perfectly!

Innisfree tends to have lighter shade compared to other Korean brands such as Etude House and Aritaum, so make sure you test it at the counter. I would say the shade is quite neutral so it will fit both warm and cold undertones. Since the shades available are quite fair, those with darker skin tones gonna disappointed.

The foundation stays on my skin nicely for about 5-6 hours before it starts to oxidize/wear off. Be reminded that I have a dry skin! I don't think this will stay nicely on the oily skin in hot and humid countries.

The coverage is light but buildable to medium. As its name suggested, it gives a dewy glow finish but you always mattifying it using powder. I like the glow it gave as it's not overdone, my skin but better kind of glow? LOL! For those skin with blemishes/hyperpigmentations, you will definitely need a good concealer if you want to apply this cushion.

Pros:
+ moisturizing
+ decent glow, not overdone
+ light on skin

Cons:
- not for those prefer high coverage
- limited shades available
- not suitable for oily skin

Overall, this cushion is good if you are looking for a daily foundation that moisturizes, gives proper glow and don't mind the low coverage. AND you are having dry skin like me!

Till then, 안녕!
